Lesmurdie Primary School is going through an exciting transformation. From October 2021 to November 2023 we are replacing our outdated buildings with modern, purpose-built facilities.
The new facilities will provide our students with an ideal learning environment, offering them a great start to life. The redevelopment will benefit current and future generations of Lesmurdie children.
1. The first of two bitumen pours has been done for the Willoughby Road carpark. This will provide staff and parent parking and a new "kiss and drop" facility. Our Covered Assembly is taking shape.
The school has a new design to fit our local environment and best meet the needs of our students, teachers and community.
Our buildings will open onto a central lawned area, providing the children with a safe and inclusive space to play and learn.
The children will continue to have access to nature play areas and enjoy views of the bush reserve.
Our younger students will have a dedicated early childhood learning area – the perfect environment to start their education.
We will also have access to a new shared-use oval on Ray Owen Reserve.
The existing art and music rooms and library will remain.
Plans are in place to maintain a safe learning environment and minimise disruption to teaching and learning.
During the redevelopment Dental Therapy is operating out of Walliston Primary School.
