Family Fun Day

Will the Principal’s hair go pink? Will Mr Bushby end up with blonde streaks? These are the burning questions at Lesmurdie Primary School in the lead up to their Family Fun Day being held on Saturday, 17 November from 10am to 3pm.

The Family Fun Day is the highlight of the School Calendar for 2012 and will raise funds for many different items on the school wish list including new technology and improved facilities. The last Family Fun Day was held in 2010 and raised over $20 000. This year the school is going for a new record.

Lesmurdie Primary School Principal Mrs Elphick said, “As an incentive I’ve promised the students that if they raise $750 before the Family Fun Day I will dye my hair pink! And Mr Bushby will get blonde streaks if they raise $1000.”

“We eagerly await the outcome as already close to $700 has been raised,” she said.

The Family Fun Day promises something for the whole family. Attractions include a haunted house, climbing wall, inflatable obstacle challenge, fun rides and games to test your coordination and skills.

There will also be lots of plants for the gardeners; new and second hand books for the readers; Bric a Brac and a Silent Auction for the bargain hunters; play dough, crafts, kids fashion, candles and cards for the kids; and cakes, donuts, fairy floss, sausage sizzle, pizza, sushi, slushies and drinks for everyone!

You’ll also be able to relax and enjoy some music, watch displays from local dance and fitness groups, see how well behaved your dog could be, and check out some fabulous vintage cars and fire engine. You’ll even be able to have a go at putting a fire out!

Lesmurdie Primary is located at 49 Sanderson Rd, Lesmurdie. For further information contact Rosemary Miller on 9291 3516 or [email protected].
