The Kalamunda Show

The Kalamunda Show Committee praised the efforts of students from Lesmurdie Primary School.  At the recent show, entries placed by the students as a group and as individuals received various 1st, 2nd and 3rd certificates. Congratulations.

Kalamunda History Museum

On Tuesday 10th May, students from Pre-primary and Year 1 spent time investigating the PAST and the PRESENT. They travelled to KALAMUNDA HISTORY VILLAGE MUSEUM and experience transport, home life, toys, schooling and clothing from the past and were encouraged to relate it to the present.

Child’s Play Music Incursion

Alec from Child’s Play Music visited the Kindergarten and Pre-primary children. The students explored through hands-on play and exploration of 60 handmade musical instruments. The students also participated in cooperative orchestral music making. This experience was then the catalyst for discussion, reading, writing, painting, designing and further musical experiences.

A Trip to the Zoo

On Thursday the Kindy classes went to the zoo. We travelled on a bus and had a picnic morning tea and lunch. Our group went to a special education session and we learnt about the different covering animals have. We all got to see our favourite animals. It was a great day!
